... went to a pub. I ordered a Berliner Weisser - a beer that is sweetened with fruit flavour & served with a straw. I enjoyed this much more than a regular beer, which is, of course, what Jared had. I had read about the curry wurst, so I went for it. Just southwest of Salzburg in Austria's scenic Salzkammergut lake district was a waypoint in our journey toward Vienna, a place I had only recently heard of but knew we wouldn’t want to miss: Hallstatt. Good morning God! So, this morning Nadzha family called at 7am this morning. They wanted to wish her happy birthday and tried timing it. Nadzha only realised afterwards that she miscalculated it. She could've slept in till 9am. I'm no longer sleeping in like I have been since in Europe. My body is now waking up at 7am. I'm also going to bed later as well. It isn't good because I'm only getting 5-7 hours of rest. This isn't good because we're walking ...

... the pass would actually go up to the majestic mountains we were looking at. I thought the pass would take advantage of some low area in those mountains, but it truly went right over them. The road has 50 hairpin switchbacks, each number is posted at the turn. We stopped at the small memorial built by the Russian soldiers that came back after the war to build, in honor of the over 100 soldiers who died in an avalanche during ...
