So not a very peaceful night Bobby has taken to talking (very loudly) in his sleep. With that and multiple loo trips its was a very disturbed sleep. Heh ho never mind. Today will be spent doing the last bits of washing (towels and bedding) and swimming in the lake. Charlotte has requested that we go off to a nearby park so we will give that a go ...

So up with the dawn chorus or so it felt. We had to catch a bus from the nearby town of Strobl to go into Salzburg and it took almost an hour it could have been longer but Mr T(aka Roy Cropper) kept us and the bus driver on track. Salzburg is beautiful the buildings are vet symmetrical and the architecture of and inside the churches and cathedrals is amazing. Even the kids are impressed. Charlotte has taken to being a photographer some her pictures are fantastic ...

Despite my best suggestions of finding a local hotel for the night a spare pitch was found. No real bed :-( So we pitched at warp factor 8. Our Dutch neighbours kindly offered to help but being truly British we declined and cracked on while the winds got up, the thunder cracked and the lightening flashed. Thankfully there ...

... next time we have wifi). We then found our way to a much overdue trip to the laundromat to spend far too many euros on clothes that will last us until the end of our journey (seven days!). Originally we were going to make a trip to Ca D'Oro, a palace that has inhabited Venice since 1413, but our lack of spirit led to more card playing and a long lunch before hopping the trains to Austria. The first leg of the train ride, three hours and I was engrossed in a book on ...
