Even though it is a long day by train (about 9 hours), it is totally worth it!  To see Europe this way is the best.  Fortunately, I am having good weather too!  I am on the TGV from Paris Gare de l'Est to Stuttgart, Germany via Strasbourg.  I’ll catch another train in Stuttgart to Salzburg.  I am so excited to be going to Salzburg, I’ve wanted to visit this city my ...

Meaning "clear spring" in German, this particular archbishop had a particularly wicked sense of humour and utilised the spring to create a whole series of "trick fountains" spread throughout beautifully manicured gardens.
