Onwards to find the Dolomites
... seemed so fast now after all the slow riding through the mountains these last few days. On exiting the m/way I pay my 3 Euro or whatever it was and head for the town of Cortina which is way the other side of some wonderful passes in the Dolomites.
It’s a long winding road all the way up this pass. On leaving the m/way the temp was a wonderful 16 Celsius and I was way too hot so the cool air up the pass was really welcome but soon it was to get extremely cold.

Starting the dolomite way
Early morning in Tenno, the rain stopped, the lady of the place was much more friendly, she made us a very nice breakfast after we ate only cookies since yesterday. We had some time so we decided to explore the place...cause we are already here...so we walked 200m we found mini market and then Tenno finished so we made U turn and started our day. The development and infrastructure in these mountains continue to astound me, here we were at 1050mts in a UNESCO world heritage site and there were restaurants and chairlifts and refuges and bivi huts everywhere! You would never see this in Australia…and I think this is a good thing…a chairlift or two would be handy though, and imagine rocking into windamere hut or high moor on the arthurs and someone cooking you dinner and offering you a bottle of wine, then a comfy bed ...
