The next day was a bit rainy, but we did everything touristy - saw the sights, hit the true Austrian Beer Hall, went to Mozart's house, hit up the only Red Bull Hanger (yes - Red Bull originated in Austria - who knew), went to the Christmas shops, the Museum of Modern Art Panoramic views of the city, and walked all over town - we were whipped, but it was such a fun day!

... however, the skies exploded with fireworks from all across town. We stood outside out hotel and watched people letting them off in the car parks and roadside. I'd say it wouldn't have been a good time to go driving. And the fireworks were magnificent, just like if the pros had done it.

New Year's Day was a very quiet day in the town. Nothing opens on a public holiday only the Chinese buffet across the road and the servos. Mum and I went for a walk ...

... sure it will be heading our way soon. It is a two-foot-long stick, with a smartphone camera attachment on the end, enabling the user to take selfies at a distance. However, these sticks' owners seem to operate them without any understanding of people walking within their two-foot radius. And worse...people are using their camcorder settings and making endless movies of themselves....walking. I can't imagine what use or entertainment value a film of my face ...

Sounds easy enough …. Oh you have no idea the hell we went through to find this freakin' place. First, we put the name of the guest house in and that didn't pop up in Garmin. Next we used a street address and that worked so off we set. We drove for over half an hour through narrow twisty hairpin turn roads and countryside. Unfortunately, my fellow drivers liked to tailgate and push the speed limit despite the fact the road was so damn narrow. I was a nervous ...
