I spent one of my last weekends in Germany visiting my Aunt Mary, Cousin Raquel, and Uncle Joerg at the Chiemsee in Bavaria Germany. Evening looms early ..4:30 pm and daylight is gone. ... their branches tipped white, the river Salzach winding through the town..Sheer picture perfect!! The veil of snow hiding the distant mountains of Untersberg / Berchtesgaden.. ( that separate Austria and Germany) add to the mystique.

... a fallen powerline we reached our hotel. Salzburg where we are staying is a lot different to Vienna as it is more middle class and not as many older vintage pretty buildings around. Our hotel is lovely though and a room even bigger then the last with a small gym and sauna on the top level. I'm worried that we are going to get too acquainted to having great accommodation and be bitterly dissapointed somewhere along the way.
