... a beautiful old town on the lake. It was tricky to find somewhere to park but we decided to try the chairlift car park in Obertraun. We walked back to Hallstatt, about 40mins, and looked through town. We stopped at the Skull house where they keep old skulls that have been removed from their graves. It was strange but interesting! By time we got back to the van we unpacked our packs, cooked up some dinner and went to ...

He said he wants to be a farmer now :) Due to Mats special request, we had Weinerschnitzel for dinner! After dinner we helped Teresa mould the butter ready to be sold. So much fun! We had a nice breakfast after finding ourselves getting up later and later each morning. We walked all around Salzburg today. It started off pouring rain, but let up later on, so I filled up my pack with discarded clothes as the day went on. We started out at the Schloss Mirabell and garden, where there are often Mozart Chamber concerts. Then we headed to the Kapuzinerberg, which is a high mountain beside the Salzach River. I wanted to see Stefan ...

    Christmas and Salzburgers

... we set off into the ridiculous fog again for some Christmas shopping.

The supermarket was relatively decent sized but because we only had limited hands, we decided to leave the meat and everything else and get more important items such as beer, Jagermeister, vodka, gin and wine; the standard items in any weekly supermarket shop. A couple of full trolleys later we decided there was no way we were carrying it all home so sweet-talked the checkout peeps into ordering us ...
