... Our guide was fantastic and very informative - really the only downside to the tour, which is the danger with any organised sight-seeing tour, is some of the people you're obliged to share it with! Even though they were only 17 people on the bus, at least 10 of them were complete drongos, who had never even heard of Heidi, and kept asking if it was a true story. And they were on the tour .... why? Oh dear, we are not getting more tolerant with age! ...

    Zurich to Venice

A travel blog entry by kas19 on Oct 08, 2014

... altitudes (Ryan's observation as I was fast asleep for most of the ride). I woke in time to observe the train crossing from the mainland to the island of Venice. We disembarked at the Venice station and then hopped on to a vaparetto (water bus) and cruised down the Grande Canal to our stop at the Rialto Bridge. I met many Americans though and really recommend going there because most people often forget about it. Switzerland ...

... disapproving tossing and turning. I'm in my bed now being lulled to sleep by what sounds like a cow giving birth but in actuality is a weird whimper of a snore and some flatulence. Also, it sounds like maybe someone has laid down newspaper or layers of plastic bags in their bed (perhaps their sheets had stains on them too) judging by the sounds of this weird crinkling noise. I should probably try to sleep too, Gute-nacht world! BONTOBLOGGING: Nothing but ...

From Zurich to Atlanta, via Skymetro

A travel blog entry by dimps99 on Oct 13, 2013

... the longest single stretch of the whole trip: officially 4,677 miles in 10 hours 35 mins, but I couldn’t fault the service and amenities provided on the Delta Airlines Boeing 767. The guy sitting next to me just grunted when I said “Hi fatso, how’s it hanging?” (or some similar friendly greeting), so it was videos, music, dinner/snacks and drinks all the way to Atlanta. Ah, ...
