... go in front of me so he could "catch" me if I fell (was not going to let that happen) or let me go first...... As we came down the tower, we could hear the choir echoing up from the church below. It was magical. When we got to the bottom, we sat in the pews and listened to their rehearsal for a while. The whole experience wore me out! We wandered around the shops a bit more then found a cafe where we had a tapas plate and a luxurious hot chocolate with ...

... for hitting the big city, we had no swiss Franks to pay for parking, not that we could find any anyway and had no idea of any Stelplatz, if any in the area. We ended up driving out of the city where we eventually came across a small village with a cash machine. We then back tracked to a big car park we passed on the way to stay for the night. Neither of us could work out what the car park was used for as it appeared to be part of the farm entrance with only one ...

Jeff keeps thinking Zurich is in Germany because it sounds so German. Hope the food is cheaper in Switzerland. Two years in a row I cannot figure how the locals can afford to eat. Is the dollar really this weak? Mediocre fish and chips last night cost $20 each.

Our flat is the top floor of a four story ...

... for the next few weeks: Bürgenstrasse 16

Dark out, host was away but her friend let us in.

Dropped bags, got key, then back to the train station to grab some grocery items.
(considering how much food Swiss Air pumped into us one might wonder why we'd want to get some grocery items...)

"Home" is quite close to the train station - maybe 10 minutes on a slow walk.

A long day + a few hours... at this point running on fumes...

... now unachievable. I think I am guilty of not having a plan B. Whilst I always knew there was a strong chance of some injury cropping up and stopping me, I hadn’t prepared myself mentally for what I would then have to do in order to complete The Run.
Secondly, the disruption this has caused Giuliana is almost unfair. She is happy to come down for a third trip to do the backup duties uncomplainingly, but it is a nuisance for her but she has been brilliant ...
