From Salzburg, Austria, I caught the train to my final new country in mainland Europe, Switzerland. My first stop in Switzerland was Zürich. Upon arrival in Zürich, I realised how expensive Switzerland actually is, 20CHF (equivalent of about $30) for chicken and chips for dinner at the hostel. After settling into the hostel and having a little nanna nap, I went for a walk into the main town to find something else for dinner. On my wanders I came across the ...

... top! In all, I was very sad to leave Paris and wish I had more time there! Belgium Wow, I was really surprised how much I liked Belgium! It was really nice to go to a big city and have it feel small (especially after Paris). It was really worth going on the beer tour because Belgians love their beer not only for taste, but because it is their tradition. It definitely has the best snacks because nothing beats frites, waffles, and chocolate! My Bruges ...

I found the flying scenery quite mesmerizing. And the train was so quiet and smooth - whooshing only.

        Lucerne train station: Luzern Bahnhof

What a crazy-busy place! Apparently Lucerne Railway Station is one of Switzerland's principal stations with excellent links to the rest of Switzerland via rail services.
