A boat trip on a beautiful lake

... water. The boats on the lake are all electric to preserve the cleanliness and peacefulness of the area. At one point on the trip the guide gets his trumpet out, and plays a tune next to the cliffside called the Echowand, and depending on the weather the notes echo one or two times - all very funky ...

... found a different path near the gorge, climbing bridge rails etc etc to get some decent photos.

Still alive, we traveled back to Salzburg slowly, walked the river by night and checked out the cathedral all while consuming pumpkin soup, chocolate, apple strudel and coffee.

... the boat terminal, we decided to walk to the cable car but it was closed. We had a very late lunch, sitting in the sun on large wood chairs, eating cheese dumpling soup was pleasant. Back to town for a wander, tried the cable car there but it was closed too! But we really enjoyed the charming town. We missed seeing the Schloss/ place by 10 mins, which meant we had to have an ice cream! I also had raspberries juice with soda, a bit sweet. We really enjoyed the ...

We finally wandered back out of the old town around 8:00 and headed back up to the restaurant we ate at the first night in Salzburg called Bausto. Because the waiter indicated it may rain tonight we ate inside. Cheryl had the Tyrloean dumplings (as selected by the waiter), I had the same pizza and salad and we each order a Trumer Pils beer, the award winning yummy beer.

... well as the Italian marble quarried in Italy and trucked up the mountain, was done in under two years – an engineering marvel, even by today’s standards.

Back to the village to wait for our bus 840 back to Salzburg – that was a bit of a hassle, but not worth including here. Suffice to say, we made it back to our B&B, tired, hungry, and more stressed and annoyed than we’d like.
