    ... are unbelievable. All from scratch. Real butter, real cream, and so much better than the baked goods at home. Diet time when we get back lol. The fountains are all sealed up for winter to protect them, but are still running now.     We had a great breakfast in a wonderful hotel (Alpchalet). We checked out at 8:40 to get to the ticket center for our castle tours. Our first tour of Hohenschangau was very impressive. It was the first castle we had toured that one could imagine living in and it had all the furnishings preserved. The walls were all decorated with paintings applied directly to the wall.     From Fussen north to Wurtzburg is what all call the German Romantic Road. It is thus because of the wealth, power, culture, architecture and art generated during medieval times and beyond.
