... magical views, hope the weather clears a bit so we can show you. 24.10.14 The weather cleared and we woke to fantastic views from our balcony, snow covered mountains. So we had a quick breakfast and made for the Alpensee which is a small crystal clear lake in Schwangau and got some great photos. Then we started our walk around the Alpensee, we could not go all the way around as there had been a blockage on the track during the bad weather due to either trees or land ...

Dinner at a Italian Restaurant around the corner from the hotel. We had a drink at the bar and then had dinner at the restaurant. We shared a beef carpaccio, for mains Leonie had a Fritto Misto and I had prawns with a Whisky and tomato sauce. Both dishes where excellent and got washed down with a nice Italian ...

... stops and it's actually warm. We hear the history and walk up the hill to the castle....again the Hapsburgs of Austria enter the picture. A very picturesque town. We have a lunch of goulash and Czech beer (fun fact...the original Budweiser is from a town not too far from here...Budweis). Another fun fact, the book, The Bloodletter's Daughter by Linda Lafferty, an ...
