... generally due to the fact that they built on sticks first & then filled in the bottom. The cellars are amazing they keep to a static temperature of 8 to 10° all year round, great for drinks & food storage

... these was slightly different, the Lions bridge & a glockenspiel that as it was 3pm showed off for us.

All back on board on time so we left, found out at our usual 6.50pm port talk with Dragon that we are now back on schedule. Dinner was a chefs special "NZ lamb", later the executive chef came round, asked now dinner was & he informed us that most of the boats on the canal only use NZ lamb, good on them.

... its 5 Christmas shops. We only went to one - it was huge and beautiful. Not th emissive gaudy decorations found in Australian shops. Most interesting nativity scenes were wooden with "pyramids", which are propellers over the scene. They have place for candles and the heat from the candles causes the propeller to turn.
