CRUSING DAY - Miltenberg

We are now on the Main River and as we cruised into Miltenberg we had a glass blowing demonstation on board the ship.

Miltenberg was founded in the 13C and was situated at an important trade and smuggling route along the Main River. It is a village stuck in time and looks like it is straight out of a fairy tale. Its ...

Snitzel all around - delicious!

It was a lovely atmosphere & a great experience to stay in a smaller town rather than in the larger, more touristy ones.

We enjoyed the night, and no wifi.

... a doner.

Of course had I realised that the town was so small, then I wouldn't have rushed through like I did! Of the 3.5 hours I had in Miltenberg, I spent the last hour hanging around the train station and waiting like a dozen other people. Even in Germany there are some small towns which have bad connections and trains only come every hour or longer here.

I left Miltenberg at 3:20pm and arrived home ...
