    ... strudel. Just the icing on the cake. A wonderful day was spent & back to our hotel. Dinner was independent tonight so we found a lovely Indian restaurant next to our hotel. Vespers & best meal since I left home. And Greg had a lamb dish & I had a chicken one. A lovely walk through one of the gardens before retiring & walking off our tea completed a wonderful day.     ... King Ludwig had quite a tragic life really and he was unofficially murdered at the age of 40. It appears now, from letters etc, that he may have been gay. He never married. He became more and more solitary as time went by. Our guide on the bus was excellent. Very informative and clear with instructions. One thing we learnt was that BMW stands for Bavarian Motor Works.
