It frreakin' SNOWED today. I was expecting a day of sunshine but I only got a 20 second preview of blue sky this morning outside of town on the way to Salzburg Zoo. Check out the first pic to see what I thought was the unveiling of the mountains I've been longing to see. But instead I got the beauty of snow for a few hours. It was only light, but so happy I got to see it (and it was the first snow of the season).

You pick up a ceramic beer mug, 1 or .5 litre, buy a ticket for its size and take the ticket to the beer barrels where a yellow-clothed assistant fills it with your choice of or 'bock', then when done, you rinse it out at the water fountain and go though the process again... very easy on the dishwashers! ... Salzburg and excited to get there, 1) because it's apparently a beautiful city and 2) because it means we are one step closer to OKTOBERFEST.
