This time last year I was sitting on a bus recovering from a night bringing in 2014 in Paris with my Contiki family. I was full of excitement for the adventures up coming and optimism for the year that lay ahead.

This year I am in Salzburg, Austria with my family! Mum and I stayed awake to see in midnight and boy was it worth it. Fireworks are legal for the public to buy and use here, so all night people all around the area ...

The apple strudel to follow is a step too far and I know that tonight I will be unable to eat or drink anymore. Ma and Pa Lee trundle off to find somewhere for a further drink (ending up back at Zipfer Bierhaus) whilst Mr Fletche and I settle down for a final night in Salzburg.

... as before. We passed a lake, the Chiemsee, which is a popular tourist area, especially in the summer.

Across the border into Austria. We had to stop and pay the road tax for the bus just past the border and then on towards Salzburg, through quite heavily wooded countryside, still with church spires popping up through the tree-tops. Roof slopes on houses and barns were becoming steeper - probably to allow snow slip off in winter months. The ...
