    ... It winds and circles back over itself because it runs along the German Swiss border and is not allowed to cross into Switzerland. It was used to carry troops and artillery to the River Rhein.     ... lunch with us as it was 4pm before we reached the end! To her credit Elissa walked almost the whole way! She fell asleep very quickly in the train home and tonight in bed...!     ... late due to "problems at the airport". The Shuttle eventually arrived and we loaded the baggage and headed for the airport, a trip which took about 30 minutes. It was still dark and it seemed strange to pass the now deserted old city, which was somewhat spectacular with the walls and turrets lit up.

    Well we were up at 6:30 to get ready to leave...had a a bit of Meusli and milk and walked downto the Sentier Metro station ......arrived at Opera station and walked around Palais Garnier(the Opera) to the Roissy bus to CDG.
