We made it to SWITZERLAND - the land of mountains, cheese, and chocolate where they speak German, Italian, and French.

      St. Gallen, Switzerland

We are staying in St. Gallen, which is about a 1 hour train ride west of Zurich in the German speaking part of the country and is a very historic, smaller town of which we have learned ALL of the history!

We set about for our daily chores, find some lunch food, find a new tyre for Jimbo - back one has worn out, and some thermals. All ...

... the Starnberger Lake . Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take pictures, so we bought postcards instead. After the tour we had to walk down, which was a long way to the bottom. We had lunch at Restaurant AM Park. Tom ordered braised beef and I ordered Crumbled Pork. Both were dry and tasteless. On our way to Salzburg we made a stop at a little town along the way. We were able to wander the streets filled with tiny shops. ...

... I had left them on the answering machine. This was all a moot point because the Gasthof was virtually empty so we ended up with the best room in the place. It was a culture shock to come from the laid back attitude of southern Europe to the officiousness of German culture. This was going to be two fun-filled days in Liechtenstein. Another small country' on the list and it meets the requirements as one can basically see from one side to ...
