Phillip decided he didn't want to view the great heights of the mountain so I went alone, although I wasn't really alone because each gondola holds about 60 people. So up we went from about 1,000 metres at Chamonix to 3,842m.     ... thrilling and fast! Dan was able to get us a second ride for free! Unfortunately on the second ride we had an accident between two cars and I had to take two of my sweet girls to the hospital in Austria. The girls were troopers, so proud of Faith and Grace.good news is that they were released from the hospital and we made it back to the hotel for dinner.     Day 27 Another 8am start to travel our 292km to Lech, Austria. We started the day by climbing back over Passo di Gardena, heading West to St. Ulrich. Today there is again only one monk, who runs the monastery more as a business, with a farm, horses, restaurant, guest house, vegetable garden and wine cellar.
