    Today we had our much anticipated tour to the Jung Frau ( or virgin lady) Jong which means saddle....I will explain the kids it is the ice palace...! The day started quite early my our holiday standards...6:30am to get dressed and have breakfast so we could be out by 8am to catch a tram a short ride to where the tour left from...we boarded the coach and after numerous seat changes by children in almost every combination we settled and headed off....the tour guide was ...

    ... our code into the box and the key just popped out, very simple and the apartment served us well, whilst not in the most scenic area of Zurich it was easy to walk to the old city and lake with a coop not too far away. Worked perfectly. We dumped our gear and headed back to the train station to pick up a map and plan a nice walk around the old city seeing the sights along the way. Came across the weirded swan which amused us all by duck diving and wiggling ...

    Walter left for the airport after a great breakfast...typically Swiss with eggs, potatoes, bacon, cold cuts and cheese, lots of different breads and buns, fruit, Muesli yogurt and good coffee with warm milk.i went to the airport with him and did a little window shopping in the airport mall. it's 3 levels of shops attached to the train station below the airport and has everything from clothes to shoes to fodd markets to reastaurants and bars.     ... the deserted town, it seemed the only things open were the train station and McDonalds. We found a small 'bratwurst' stand beside the river and enjoyed the local way eating the sausage and bread separately.     ... happen to it. I told Andrew that I have learnt from my Paris experience and now know how to reverse park a car. He did not find this funny! Cars on the Paris streets do not seem to stick rigidly to the lane markings. There is a fair amount of beeping and a few times there were some strong angry words with some fiercer beeping. When pedestrians cross the road at designated crossings sometimes you have to push your case otherwise the cars may ignore you and keep going on ...
