... and walked around the old town. It was very cool actually...better than we were expecting. (Since we had enjoyed our short time in Stuttgart more lol)... We cruised the streets and checked out the Rhine then stopped for a excellent lunch.
Afterwards we topped up essentials from the pharmacy and then decided we would find a CrossFit box Gaz had googled. We got back to the car and cruised over.

... our train was delayed so we didn't get on until 11.30pm, which meant we didn't get back to Frankfurt until 1am. Thankfully the trains were still running and we hopped on the next train back to our hotel (only about 3 mins). Cos it's been such a late night, this means a sleep in!!Tomorrow we will explore what Frankfurt has to offer and might even do a CrossFit session now that we've recovered from Amsterdam last week haha!!

... for our patience. The flight arrive on time and safely in Moscow. The longest wait we had after that was at the hotel reception desk, 20 min, only to be told we were at the wrong desk, please go to the other end of the building to the other reception desk! We finally got to bed at 4.30 am after over 24 hrs of travel.
Today I took a day trip to Eisenhüttenstadt, a city that was developed in 1951-1961 (as Stalinstadt) around the East German steel factory Eisenhüttenkombinat Ost. Now that the factory is gone, there is a definite sense of absence, like mill towns in Massachusetts where the mill has closed, or towns in Western New York where the local factory has shut. ... buddies, had arrived from Philly and we were flying to Africa together. First stop: food! Especially since I had slept through dinner and drink service on my first flight and literally sat in my seat without moving for 8 hours. At least the girl two seats over was cute.
Next stop: Stopover in Khartoum!
