    ... in the alpine conditions high up in the mountains. We saw them at the Alpine Visitor centre and Rock Cut and just before it. The kids were fascinated and the animals were totally unfazed by the humans nearby. Apparently they hibernate for 8 months of the year and for the other 4 months they eat, sleep and sunbathe.     ... car to grab all the things, I need to shower and get ready. By the time I'm organised to go back out it's dark. I ask Rick the easiest way to town and he suggests a bus using google maps. There was a bus stop just outside and I walk out there. I wait for a little while and when the bus arrives I request a transfer to the bus google maps suggests to get to my destination.     ... come to the realisation that my behaviour when it comes to dogs is odd and therefore I will probably end up alone with only goldfish to keep me company because, as far as I am aware, they don't lick your face! Although I did not share my hosts love for their pets I did really like my hosts and had a great first evening finding out about their very interesting lives.

    Mom & Joe had given us a hot air balloon ride as a gift for our engagement, and we were excited to see the mountains from a different vantage point.
