... Mont Blanc which I believe is about 4,800 metres. The town of Chamonix is at the base of it and is a major ski village in winter, and a base for hikers, mountain bikers and tourists in summer. We got there late one afternoon and planned the next day for me to go up the Auguille du Midi cable car to see Mont Blanc up close and for Phillip to go for a ride up some of the smaller peaks in the area. The next morning we woke to heavy rain which ...

All hickeldy-pickledy and some rising up well above the horizon of Bodensee. The lake is so enormous that, like Titicaca, it has a beach. We are way too tired to lay on the beach. It's warm here. We arrived in Zurich with expectations and all of them were met with disappointment. Impressions of Zurich. Brown, bland, uninspiring. It was difficult to find a park. Hence we only spent a couple of hours looking around before ...

... long ago. It reminded me of a modern-day cruise ship - though it was scary to read that they had actual dedicated smoking facilities on a hydrogen-filled dirigible!

After the museum, we went to the lakeshore to climb the Moleturm, an open staircase leading to a lookout tower. Nice views of the town and the Lake. We spent a little more time wandering the town, and found a Zeppelinbrunnen - a fountain with an airship motif. But it ...

... and hung out there. Planned to call Raphael later - he also lives in Rapperswil when he's not in Miami and hadn't left Switzerland yet but had been up late so was likely sleeping. Thoughtful sister.

Interesting cat. It's orange and white with long hair and a pushed-in face like those Himalayan cats Formerly Raph's. Name? Stinky.

There must be a reason for this name but I couldn't smell it.

Sometimes there's no rhyme or reason for decisions ...
