... or not the place we had parked our bikes wouldn't result in them being ticketed or worse still, clamped or towed, we found somewhere to park the bikes for the night which wasn't too expensive and not too far away from the hotel.

... and Caro on the boat and we got headphones to listen to a narrator talk on the radio. The boat tour was fun at first because we got to see a lot of the city by the river, but it was really long. We all saw ducks and swans on the river and even a floating baguette (when in France I guess). The boat even went into this lock where it rose with the water level to continue down the river. ... are the designer shops - Prado, Chanel etc where the gamblers could spend their winnings. Baden Baden is a very wealthy city, popular for its mineral spas and “wellness” tourism. We saw bus loads of people arriving to soak in the thermal pools and be fussed over. There were more high end shops in the city centre but we opted for the more middle of the road ones another block away!

Then we hit tthe road - OMG the AUTOBAHNS!!!! I freakedout as we drove along through rain at up to 150 kph on the 'wrong' side of the road with endless rows of trucks and cars flying around us aaaaargh!!! Rem handled it all very well, but it was pretty scary for me as the passenger.
