... before boarding our riverboat so we decided to go to Marksplatz again, where today the open food market was set up with all the locals enjoying the day. Just like any Farmers market, you see great cheeses, plants, and different street foods, stand selling different kinds of pretzels, and another one selling all kinds of Swiss savories like quiches. ... train. Boarding was just insane with people and their luggage shoving to get to their seats. The trains do not wait and leave exactly on time. Not only that but it switched tracks on us, but good thing we met a South African who had family in the French part of Basel and spoke German and he told us of the track switch on the loud speaker. Btw, Basel is the only city in three countries, France, Germany, and of course Swirzerland. Long story short, ...

... a little complicated. For most countries people can only travel for 90 days out of 180 inside the Schengen zone. For Kiwis we have the same restriction however, we have bilateral agreements with a bunch of countries within the zone and we can stay for up to 90 days in each country on top of the 90 in the Schengen zone. The problem is if we then leave the Schengen zone from a country that is not on the list we can be accused of being over stayers (if the customs officer doesn't ...
