... buildings were very old, but were in extremely well kept condition. We were told that the Austrians take great pride in how their dwellings and businesses are kept up, and it was really remarkable how clean the city was. We walked past Mozarts house on the way. Some of the locals still wear the traditional dress, and lederhosen. We had a wurst for lunch at the local farmers market, very tasty. Its hard to find a bad meal anywhere here. ...

Will post this now while I still have good wifi, and try to come back to it ...

This morning we drove to Austria. We started the day with White water rafting in the Inn river in Innsbrook. The water was freezing but we had wet suits and it it was worth it. Amazing views. We had some of the local cuisine: goulash soup and schnitzel. They speak German. Off to ...

... people sat outside cafes in the old town having lunch and eating ice creams.

The next stop was the Hofburg. This was an imperial palace that is now a museum. There were only about 8 tourists in the whole building so we wandered around with our audio seeing the beautiful rooms. The Palace was rebuilt during the reign of Maria Theresa (the Hapsburg Empress who had 16 children) and is in the Rococo style. The most spectacular ...
