I'll take the high road - the Grossglocknerstrasse

... where as well as the usual restaurant and gift shop, there is a multi-storey carpark! Motorcyclists are also well catered for with not only a large dedicated parking area, but also lockers in which to securely leave their belongings whilst they see the spectacular sights. After eating our picnic amid such magnificent scenery (shame about the crowds) and a walk around, we retraced our route back through the park. On the way, we were amazed to see a car towing ...

... path - across the path at waist height. Kind of like aerials I suppose. There were people on the other side, and they were quite flexible so it seemed like we were just meant to walk through them, which we did. So far we'd been really fortunate with the weather. The forecast had indicated showers turning ...

I suggested we go back to the place we'd just booked for dinner, Jess agreed but we were now quite close to the Doge's Place Museum. We waited in the queue to get to the ticket office for a while, then found out that you can't buy a ticket to just this one museum - you have to buy a pass for all four museums - add ...

Where Eagles Dare

... in a short period. Many of the prominent Nazi buildings have been destroyed but the tour still shows how the mountain was littered with Nazis. I am grateful I could experience the Eagles Nest and all the history behind it! It was a rather quiet last evening in Austria. I made my preparations for tomorrow and wanted a quiet evening. I hungout with Matt and a few Americans to watch the soccer match and then the sound of music. Tomorrow: Munich, ...
