    ... though the cobble stone streets with markets and coffee shops everywhere. the Viennese love there coffee and cake almost as much as they love Mozart. the streets were buzzing.     The rooms are spectacular, you can see the dining rooms, the room for big festivals, the working room of Franz Ferdinand and of course the rooms that Sisi used.

    You could see paintings of the emperor's family. Their dresses and suits. Franz Josef seemed to have been working 16 hours a day and he and his wife had one common bed room and both had also bed rooms on their own.

    ... we bought some fruit/nut mix for walking. Investigated one square that was built hard into the escarpment. Had some steps that went up one side, so up we went to where we got a good view over the town. Continued up and up and along the hillside till we got to the Hohensalzburg fortress built on top of the mountain.     ... the plaza were several restaurants. We enjoyed a late lunch, a glass of wine, and sitting outside in the shade people-watching. We ended the day at the Opera House watching some of the live performance of Mozart's "The Magic Flute" as it was projected on a screen outside the theatre.
