We learned about the Cathedral's history and how the church had almost been completely destroyed by fire. We got to see some amazing works of art including the Wiener Neustädter Altar, the high alter and the tomb of Emperor Frederick III. ... s performance.. Talk about popular, there were tours conducted in 6 different languages at the same time and the English one was so popular it had to be split into two groups, so all up 7 groups with about 100 in each, not bad!

... with gold! The bus dropped us off at the Opera House. We are going to do a tour of it tomorrow as the tours were booked out for today. We then went for a Traditional Viennese Coffee and Cake! Original Sacher chocolate cake is the order of the day. It was a great experience! I put on 2 kilos just looking at it! ... market, which is 90% food and produce - The Naschmarkt, and enjoyed exploring that. We bought very little besides a huge chunk of watermelon, which the stall holder kindly chopped up and wrapped for us, so we could consume it along the way.
In the evening we took the metro back into the city for one final look around; as expected the city was more beautiful by night and still full of life. (H)
