... locals who only spoke a bit of English, but we really had a fun time. The next day was a bit rainy, but we did everything touristy - saw the sights, hit the true Austrian Beer Hall, went to Mozart's house, hit up the only Red Bull Hanger (yes - Red Bull originated in Austria - who knew), went to the Christmas shops, the Museum of Modern Art Panoramic views of the city, and walked all over town - we were whipped, but it was such a fun day!

... where the Sound of Music was filmed and where the actual Family Von Trapp resided

Arriving in Salzburg, we walked through Mozart Square that featured a large statue of Mozart himself. Beautiful to see, it didn't have anything on the one in Vienna, but still a lovely dedication to the incredible composer. We arrived during a festival and strolled through the stalls of fresh pretzels, preserves and strudel.

There was no doubt that while in ...

... all day with a whipping wind that tested out our thermals. Daccau is a sombre experience, but one that is educational and needs to be done. Munich on the whole is a fantastic city and if we had more time we would have stayed there the night. It's a real city, whilst Salzburg is quite provincial. The day was capped off with a meal in a restaurant by our hotel where we indulged in the famous Salzburger Norkell ...
