... just one hangar but it was free so that's always good! After that we decided to go to the Salzburg Museum in the centre of the old town. That was kinda a let down after the castle and other historic things we've seen. The top and bottom floor were basically just art galleries and not really the kind I like.

This time last year I was sitting on a bus recovering from a night bringing in 2014 in Paris with my Contiki family. I was full of excitement for the adventures up coming and optimism for the year that lay ahead.

This year I am in Salzburg, Austria with my family! Mum and I stayed awake to see in midnight and boy was it worth it. Fireworks are legal for the public to buy and use here, so all night people all around the area ...

... the ski hire place in our little town and asked about hiring skis for me and a snowboard for Ben. It seems like its really cheap here it was only 12 euros to hire for half a day. There are plenty of little ski slopes around here with their own ski lifts which are apparently very cheap to use. There is no big ski resort in this area with lots of slopes, but it seems it will be good for us to pick it up again here because its not so steep. Hopefully we can do that ...

... in our wandering so that helped with the disappointment!
Back in the old town we came across another large Christmas market with everyone standing around drinking Gluhwein. I myself think it's an acquired taste.

With the chill factor dropping and dusk drawing in we decided to be like the old riding club horses and head for home.

Tomorrow, it's off to London town to see the beautiful Andie. Woo hoo

... much of the rest of the fortress after that, then returned to the altestadt via the funicular. Went into the dom and another church, then the Residenz which was interesting but not as sumptuous as those in Würzburg and München.

Wandered around Residenzplaz, window shopping and getting ice cream. Went looking for restaurant we (Bill & I) had eaten at before, a biergarten. After walking ...
