It was pretty intense at times but the views were spectacular! It started to rain off and on as we approached Orisson, our hostel for the night. We were a bit early for check in so we had some fantastic vegetable soup. Once our rooms were ready we showered, organized and got to know our new camino family members. We sat around for hours ...

... the window and it looked like a sister to the Baldwin steam Locomotive that sits at Golden Spike... we just couldn't get in to verify that... http://www.nsrm-friends.org/nsrm18.html

Of course Virginia City is at close to 6000 ft and on the side of a mountain so you're always going uphill, downhill as you walk...

We had a nice ...
