    ... Sebastian's where we could find tombstones dates back to the early 1700's - WOW! We then head to the Franciscan Monastery (yep, there's still a few monks there leading the flock). From there, we were able to see the Church of St. Magnus and the High Castle (this was the former residence of the Bishops of Augsburg). We took a quick turn here, and interestingly, ended up finding the End of the Romantic Road (a beautiful stretch of Bavaria between Frankfurt and Munich ...

    Today we decided to tour the King's Castles: Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau both located near the village of Fussen, Germany. Because these are some of the most visited sites in all of Germany, we had booked early, and we were thankful we did! Basically, you're given a number, and when it shows on the screen, you'd better get through the turnstile as quickly as possible. Once you number is done showing up, you're out of luck!

    ... strudel. Just the icing on the cake. A wonderful day was spent & back to our hotel. Dinner was independent tonight so we found a lovely Indian restaurant next to our hotel. Vespers & best meal since I left home. And Greg had a lamb dish & I had a chicken one. A lovely walk through one of the gardens before retiring & walking off our tea completed a wonderful day.     ... of Wagner--Ludwig was a huge fan. The castle was really impressive and filled with details like chandeliers carved with swans or designed to look like crowns. No pictures allowed on the tour, though. We returned to the bottom of the hill and toured the Museum of the Bavarian Kings. I wish I had gone to this museum before I went to Munich. It gave a really detailed history of the Wittlesbach family. I've been having a really hard time understanding who all the ...
