We arrived in Karlovy Vary and we went for a walk around town and their tradition is healing spa water.

Some of it is about 72 degrees and then you drink it and it heals you, I don't believe it.

    • I checked out of the hostel but decided to stay in the city a couple more days as I hadn't seen any of it yet.
    • I checked into a hotel down the road. It was pretty cheap, only 29 Euro per night.
    • They guy on reception couldn't speak a word of English. He took my passport as a security for the key which worried me a bit.

... mineral springs continuously flow and people just walk up and fill up their cups. I decided to take it slow and only get a small amount. Turns out it was the right call. It was gross. My last cup was at the geyser - it shoots 12 meters in the air and they have totally enclosed it in glass. After that we walked down the street and had lunch. I just had a simple chicken breast with rice. At this point though I needed a beer to settle ...
