Once in my room I set my alarm for 5:00am and planned out the route I would walk early the next morning to get close to the Rhein for the sunrise at 6:04am.

... and the pilot, all I heard was German. It is a strange experience, being the only one who does not speak their language. A humbling experience, for sure. I definitely had my fill of planes for now... Too bad I had one more to go!

The Dusseldorf airport is a multilevel building. My next flight's czech in (get it?) was on the second floor. After check in we had to go down a flight ...
