        ... views, bought a souvenir, didn't go into the church because, yeah, we've been in a lot of churches in the past two years and this one was charging €6 each. Came back to our rooms and enjoyed another obscenely decadent happy hour on our balcony.

        By the time we left the pizzeria, it was getting dark and we enjoyed seeing Lake Bled lit up. The kids noticed that the luge run was open, so we walked up to that and let the kids take a night-time ride on the luge. They loved it.

        We returned to our cozy apartment. The night was cool and it was good to be in.

        Tomorrow: Weather predicted to be bad -- movie number 3?

        I broke my fingernail to the quick today. And if that's the worst thing that happened in a day, it must have been a pretty excellent day.

        We woke up in the funky Yellow Room in Zagreb after a restless night as the hostel is right beside some night clubs and a taxi rank, so there was a lot of shouting and engine noise through the night as it was too warm to shut the window. Also, some annoying Squirt had managed to accidentally set one alarm on her mobile for 2.30am and another ...
