Come to Como

... about 1 hour on the boat. There is residential along the shoreline and half way up the mountain most of the way around the lake, the further we get away from Como although it begins to thin out and clear townships can be seen.
Menaggio is, like all the other towns, a holiday destination and at this time of year most of the places are closed. We find somewhere to have lunch and then spend the afternoon wandering through the alleyways ...

Sparkling Lights in Lugano

We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. It's truly a must-visit city and I'd love to go back and see it in broad daylight. ...

They were on very steep ground, country that I doubt a kiwi farmer would even bother putting into pines let alone having stock. The breed wasn't one I recognised but sometime in the past they must have received a goat gene. What a great day it has been. We have seen some wonderful country thanks to Lia. The two hour walk wasn't too bad ...

... yesterday drove to Pisa from there (2 hrs) saw Pisa, drove from there to Cinque Terre (2 -3 hrs) spent three hours there, then drove here to Lezzeno on Lake Como (3 1/2 hours). OMG. Crazy. Then they spent today driving around Lake Como. Tomorrow they get up early to catch a train to Milan from somewhere at the bottom of the Lake, they see the Last Supper painting in Milan, then they come back here again that same day. I'm worn out just thinking about it. ...
