    ... old parts of Canadian cities) and Hall has many amazingly old and unique doorways. The food at the restaurant was quality fare and really felt like you got a taste of what a banquet must have seemed like 500 hundred years ago. The chainmail head covering was a little heavy but I stuck it out for the girls sake as the "Knight of the table". I requested that I be called that on subsequent nights but it never happened.

    ... for a walking tour of a very pretty Innsbruck (our hotel is in the center of town). While we obviously enjoyed the sights of Italy, it was great to be in the mountains again and see Bavarian (in this case Tyrolean) architecture.

    We were supposed to take the cable cars and cog wheel train to Alpspix and Zugspitz for Adrian's birthday but it snowed overnight and both mountains were covered in cloud. We had to come up with a plan B and found the very pretty town of Mittenwald was close by. The buildings in this part of Bavaria are painted with murals which is quite different to other areas.
