Penis Cola... hehehe!!!

Our stop for the evening was the town of Peniscola – and yes I laugh every time I say it! Hee hee!!! It had a long sandy beach and the old fort town was on the peninsular at the end of the beach up on a hill. We found about a dozen campers parked at the bottom of the old town and made ourselves at home. Being out of season the place was pretty quiet. Bought some provisions ...

Not much to say

This town was really in the middle of nowhere. There was a huge windstorm and the town was super dead, except for a bunch of seniors at the bar down by the beach. We hung out there to use their internet and to watch an episode of Frasier in english. Not our most exciting day. We tried to rent mountain bikes at our resort but they had put them away for the winter... it was like 20 degrees out!

A Perfect Week

... side of the circle so we were not in any danger, really, but Laura and I didn't quite grasp that concept yet. Hence Alberto making fun of us all night.

Basically the event consists of egging the bull along. That 1) makes it more exciting--watching a bull stand in the street isn't much of a crowd pleaser, and 2) it keeps the bull moving along the circle. I felt bad for the bull because they kept bothering him, but that's how ...

Day 33 - Dealing with the police again.

Normally you wake up on a beach because of the warm morning sun. Not in Peniscola. Not in Peniscola. I woke up because some absolutely butters spanish chick was shouting at me. Honestly, its just rude. Soon the other guys woke up and were trying to stop the two girls getting on the Jetski. Then they stole one of Ollys biscuits ...

Day 32 - The good, the bad, and the Spanish

... which was incredibly cheap (glass bottle of wine for 60 cents!). This is shocking I know. More shocking was the man in the supermarket who was holding a 15ft snake. This actually reminds me of another life lesson, don´t make eye contact with mental spanish people. Whilst we were in the shop someone obviously thought Olly was homeless because they gace him two peaches and a Euro. Everybody here thinks we are French ...

... following the path the slaves and beasts took to the center ring of the coliseum, we continued to a theatre that also dated back to the Romans, most of which was still completely intact.

Next, we hopped back on the Autocar (bus in castellano) and proceeded to Sant Charles de la Rapita, in the delta area of the Río Ebro (the southern extremity of Cataluña). We stayed at a quaint family-owned hotel (that we practically filled with our group) that served ...
