... the jet black cow in the field. As we approached it, we soon realised this was no cow, this was a HUGE bull with a head the size of a truck! He had his back end toward us so didn’t see or hear us approaching but as we started talking he whirled around at breakneck speed and charged at the somewhat flimsy fence hitting it with his Suzuki head...BANG!

That was enough for me to retreat very quickly, but Paulie thinking the flimsy ...

... the slightly larger / faster waves, still catches them early, but with their extra speed they have here, I'm finding it harder to slash the tail round. So I've now swapped from a tiny quad to a 3 fin set-up, but using a small thruster as the centre fin, rather than a normal screw down centre fin. I've only tried it in smaller waves so far, I have to watch the take offs a little bit more, otherwise I find I can find myself spinning out straight from the take off.

... meant no duty-free shopping, and more stress. Other than this the Emirates experience was pretty good. First stop Dubai. I dosed a bit. Ollie was wide eyed having watched films for the whole trip. We passed a massage place at Dubai airport - no time for a real massage but where we all had a go in the massage chairs. Pretty good! ... Cathedral at 6pm for a children's Xmas Mass, which was packed out. We got to join in with lots of carol singing and enjoyed the nativity, including a very disgruntled actual baby playing the infant Jesus. ... and lots of pine trees. There is also a lot of geothermal activity around here so there is steam coming off of some of the lake and steam in certain areas of town. Every now and then you get a whiff of rotten eggs but then it goes again, we can't smell it at the house but closer to town and the lake you can.
