... Now we thought it through quite a bit and decided if we left early enough to get to Cape Reinga before the bus tours we might get a few good pictures before the place swarmed with people. It seemed that we were right. ... of roads across huge areas highlights one of the main differences between NZ and the UK. The small population here combined with vast remote uninhabited areas means that criss-crossing them with roads is not financially viable.

... went mountain biking and some went bone carving but about 5/6 of us stayed and chilled and watched the Super Bowl of all things. Good to have some chill time. The two surf instructors came round and cooked us up a bbq feast. The tunes came out again and we all had a bit of a crazy night with the game werewolf coming out again. Moving to rotorua tomoz where the caves are so that should be good. The journey awaits ...
