... fall hurt just a bit .. youll see in the video my form wasnt exactly "smooth" haha. So if theres any doubters out there... I HAVE hit puberty as of today! The hike back was a different route but was very similiar to the way there. We encountered a lot of sawgrass, had amazing scenic views of the mountains, and got our fair share of Boonie Mud! copy and paste in your browser to watch..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTJ57wip An8
Yigo, Guam guamblog... old Japanese WWII gun still preserved in the side of a cliff. The beach is famous for firecoral (not cool!), manta rays, sea turtles and the occasional whitetip reef shark. I saw plenty of firecoral! but didnt get the opportunity to see any of the above. Apparently 2 of the guys saw a reef shark swimming away from us but unfortunately I missed that one. I saw a lot of cool nocturnal fish that only come out at night and hide ...
Oceanview, Guam guamblog... and working out in other ways again!
So this weekend I signed up again to finish my Scuba Certification. I had previously taken the classroom and book portion of the course but sprained my wrist the day before we were supposed to start our dives so i just jumped into a class that was ready to start their dives this weekend. The schedule consisted of 5 confined water dives ( very shallow (9 ft) in a closed off area on the beach) and 4 open water dives in the pacific over a ...
... funny sign for the bathrooms I had to post up... they have funny words for things in the navy. Anyways once the path opened up, it was the most beautiful beach I had ever seen. Completely secluded, a shallow reef, amazing fish and lush vegetation with lots of palm trees. Jeremy and I snorkeled for about and hour until our time ran up and we headed back up to the base. Look for some blogs next week! My free time has been spent reading scuba material hoping to get certified this weekend
Tumon, Guam travellerhans... rahalla jne. jne.
Tumon, Guam travellerhans... pub and returned there many times afterwards. I admit, we also went back to Denny's, where Hubby had their BIG breakkie. Shopping is a challenge here. Although the island is American, they live on the Japanese. Half the products in almost all the shops are Japanese. We have NO idea what it is! Garlic is NOT stored like we do: check out the picture! We did follow another advice from the Lonely Planet, Old Hagåtña Bar & Grill. The bar ...
Tamuning, Guam tonyandmarina... are it would look a lot like Guam. The island has the high rise resort hotels, souvenir shops, upscale boutiques, lush greenery, and nice beaches of Maui while once you get off the beaches you'll find the beer joints, go-go bars, tattoo parlors, and nondescript strip malls of any community near a military base. It's just weird to see all of that in a small outpost so far out here in the Pacific!!! Our layover in Guam was only for twelve ...
Tumon, Guam globedecker... from 1100 to 1700 A.D. Principally found on the islands of Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan. Latte were used as the foundations of important structures in Chamorro villages. Their use in the Chamarro culture vanished when the Spanish devastated the islands in the 1600s. These latte, relocated in 1956, are from the former village of Mepo in the Fena Valley of the current Ordninance Annex, US Naval Activities, Guam. The village site was destroyed by military construction after World War II.
Agana, Guam joelle... Greek food (chicken pita). Then drive Suppo back to base, which was not easy, but got some interesting stories about his career path and some good advice about mine. Return to ship, do some work. 5) Wake up early for muster, go back to sleep, at noon hear from LT Harris, decide to go to Navy Exchange (NEX) to do some shopping and eat lunch, then we went to the movie theater at a mall near Tumon so I could get ticket to Master and Commander (LT Harris got a ticket to the Matrix).
