On Friday John and I went to the north of Lebanon to become acquainted with where we would be living. We drove the hour and a half from Beirut to Tripoli, Lebanon's second largest city. This drive was a perfect reminder of how small Lebanon really is. The entire country of Lebanon is roughly 2/3rds the size of Connecticut, or about 4,000 square miles.
