... Seņora in the seat behind us ( bingo C27! ) began whimpering and crying out. After several visits from United officials It was determined she would need medical attention and needed to be returned to the gate. She was either having a major anxiety attack or possibly just wasn't ready to go home yet...not really sure which. Oh, and by the way we will have to wait a bit while they try and find her luggage stowed away in the cavernous hole of a few hundred ...

    Changes I made

A travel blog entry by cth-road on Jan 28, 2015

Yesterday, I tried to fix my stay at a guest ranch in the Texas Hill Country. However, the ranch of my choice is closed for a week due to a family wedding. I have checked for alternatives, but I either do not like the ranch or it is way too expensive. Therefore, I will jump on a horse in New Mexico or Arizona. Naturewise I will like those states better anyways.
So, this forenoon I will hop in a bus to San Antonio. Jan 29th in the evening, I will fly to El Paso.

    Dorm Experience

Oh my goodness! What a night! 8 girls in 1 room coming and going at any time of the night. Making loud noises, putting the light on, snorring crazy, clogging the toilet, jumping around in the upper bunk, very limited respect. Under these circumstances I had my difficulties catching sleep. Am I getting too old for a dorm?

... housing subdivisions. After a short picnic break parked at the beach we were headed inland for the 2 hr drive in to Houston, nothing interesting on that drive except for some massive refinery operations. By 2 pm we had made our way into town, ably assisted by Emily, our GPS machine, to the Menil Fine Art gallery. We had been advised to go there by a friend of Pat's. It is a beautiful modern, purpose built building in a quiet ...

Too late to be an Astronaut?

On our way back up to Houston, we stopped at the NASA Space Center, just outside the Lyndon B Johnson Space Center. VERY COOL! This is how it should be done. Ya get there and they list suggested itineraries for the time you've got. There's movies, lectures, tram tours, interactive areas, flight simulators, the works. It's a great place to take children. We walked out of there wanting to be astronauts. It's not a ...
