Well we finally swam in the Mediterranean. The water is very clear, temperature was perfect, calm sea...no waves, but I needed my sandals to cope with the very pebbly shore! Did I know there wouldn't be much sand? We are spoilt! Thankfully we walked up in daylight and back in the early evening ...

Next stop was the gorgeous little seaside town of Side which has been built beside the ruins of the Apollo temple - what a stunning spot, from here we headed to the. Aspendos theatre (Turkey's most complete theatre example).

... but you can't have it all! The crystal clear, aqua blue water made up for lack of sand! We wasted a couple of hours and come 8pm it was dinner time. We are paying 32tl which is about ten quid for breakfast, dinner and a bed! Not bad at all! We met a solo Aussie traveller back in the room, Ryan and joined him for dinner. We learnt how to play Back Gammon with the aid of a young Colombian then headed down the dirt road to another bar where we joined more Aussies, some Americans and ...
