Since you know what you need about this, then be careful you do not waste time in other areas. What we mean by that is some aspect will have greater meaning for each of us, and then you can go off and discover more for your self on that one thing. ... up at night so went for a coffee at Starbucks while it got dark (and discovered chocolate caramel covered pretzels, mmm!!!) then made our way back. The water is lit up from massive lights projected from across the street and change from white to blue, pink and green which looks amazing at night! A few more snaps and a bit of a walk and we made our way back to the hotel where Oli was subjected to a chick flick :) ...

During the afternoon there had been candy tables set up over one side of the room. Seems to be a usual part of the event over there, and you got a candy bag to fill up with all your favourites to take home instead of cake. The drive from Lake Erie wasn't too long and we stopped at Allegany State Park to Camp at Willow Bay. Normally this 'bay' is full but due to the dry weather the water levels were about 20 feet down leaving the banks exposed with mud, rocks and long submerged tree trunks visible over wide expanses. The bush above the normal water levels is a lovely woodland, with tall trees holding dense foliage up high and little undergrowth making it dark but easy ...
... we had was running into some pretty intense rain a few times along the way. Luckily it passed quickly and we were safely on our way. We made really good time driving out to Niagara Falls and made it here about 7. After a quick supper we walked down to the falls to check out the view. It was beautiful and because it was a Thursday night, there were very few people around. We hung out and watched the light show over the falls before heading back to our hotel to call it a ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Salvatore's Garden Place Hotel Williamsville
Nice place, but cut the gaudy!
As an anniversary gift, we received a weekend stay at the Garden Place shortly after it opened.
Was clean, quiet, relaxing, good breakfast buffet. Room was average size, had a jacuzzi in bedroom area. Different.
Went back to book a second stay and were turned off when we drove up. We were overwhelmed with statues, fountains, trinkets & multi-colored, multi-variety artificial flowers crowding the grounds. WHAT HAPPENED? The elegance was gone, the gaudy was in. A good thing had gone bad. Sorry, but we drove off to seek a simpler, more elegant hotel (less pricey to boot!). Maureen & Dave
Our Only Escape
My fiance and I find the Garden Place the perfect escape that we can take advatage of several times a year. It's elegant, affordable and we appreciate the Salvatore family giving us the opprotunity to enjoy their hospitality.
Most romantic encounter for a getaway
This hotel is absolutley beautiful!! My fiance and I go at least 1 to 2 times a year for a small getaway to feel on top of the world. The Jacuzzi suites are wonderful and the restauraunt is great. The decor is alot to take in but thats what makes it all the best!!!
Nice Hotel, a little overpriced
The Garden Place is a gorgeous hotel although it may just a tad bit overpriced. The rooms are very clean and the jacuzzis are wonderful.
The bathrooms are a little small though and the front desk staff are rude. My recommendation for people who plan to visit in the future is to spend the extra money on the other types of suites such as the emperor, mini-emperor, etc. You'll get a little more bang for your buck and the cost difference is not that much compared to the standard jacuzzi suites which are really just studio suites with a jacuzzi.
Simply put, The Best there is!!!!!
As a business traveler I stay in the Buffalo area one or two nights a week. This is just the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms, and appointments are second to none. The service is spectacular. The rates are very competitive to the chain hotels which offer much less.
This is one of my favorite stops now and the restaurant was wonderful.
You must see this place at Christmas time.
Even though I was on a business trip, I felt like I was on vacation and so relaxed.
I'm taking my hubby there soon.
Love it 5 stars and more!
Garden place is better than any BnB for amour!
husband and i spent our wedding night here, and i prepared him for the gaudiness, and we loved it. service and cleanliness is impecable. saw about 10 other brides and grooms checking in as well. also runs a free shuttle to anywhere you want to go- your own DD for free! and you know, buffalo bars dont close til 4 so that is quite useful. my big question is- why do they serve free kool-aid? how weird is that?
Will go again
for the price of the room we were surprised.it was a lot more then we expected.a little gaudy but it was ok
The most gaudy place I have ever seen!
The place is filled with mirrors, collections of crap and looks like early 1950 tasteless italian or greek. The price is about twice what it is worth. A suite is not two rooms. or two areas. The jacuzzi was not comfortable though large enough for two. It looks like a cheap imitation of Atlantic City.
We Love The Garden Place
We have satayed at the Garden Place Hotel twice and are looking forward to the upcoming weekend to make our third visit. The hotel coupled with Salvatore's Italian Gardens Restaurant makes this a wonderful escape weekend. I am sure we will make many trips back.
