While driving to Lil's, we saw a street sign I have never seen before, "Red light violation $370 fine".     ... to the hotel John managed to buy a bottle of wine at a rest stop location. Yay!

    Dinner at the hotel was much improved over the night before. At least the hot food was hot. We had salad, chicken, potatoes and green beans and cheesecake for dessert.

    We viewed a DVD about Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks and then it was time to turn in. The next day we would head to Yosemite, our major goal for this trip!

    ... uphill climb with steps carved in the rock sometime two feet high. We
    walked and walked until we got to the base of the falls. Abby was pooped so we
    ate a quick lunch and I proceeded to make the quick climb to the top. So I

    ... physically, having walked the trails to the two great trees and I stood there and debated whether I could do this. Steve suggested that we start up and if it was too much for me, we would turn around and go back.
