... and Alex. Just met Darlene and Ron who live in Stockton and on their way back from golfing at St. George, UT. ... to the hotel John managed to buy a bottle of wine at a rest stop location. Yay!
Dinner at the hotel was much improved over the night before. At least the hot food was hot. We had salad, chicken, potatoes and green beans and cheesecake for dessert.
We viewed a DVD about Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks and then it was time to turn in. The next day we would head to Yosemite, our major goal for this trip!
... uphill climb with steps carved in the rock sometime two feet high. We
walked and walked until we got to the base of the falls. Abby was pooped so we
ate a quick lunch and I proceeded to make the quick climb to the top. So I
thought. I climbed for 15 mins and stopped for a breather and noticed that I
was only halfway up on the falls. I kept booking it and near the top the trail
went under overhanging rock that was 150 feet high or more. It was raining off
