Now on to Interstate 5 for the trek up to Hollywood. Goodness gracious, how do people live with this constant traffic? It’s stop-and-go most of the way. You get a stretch that’s moving, and then all of a sudden you have to slam on your brakes. Crazy. It took us about 3 hours to drive 110 miles.

... and a yummy Sangria cocktail for me!! And to top it all off, we had a very special surprise. They had apple donuts on the menu!! I have never seen them on a menu, so I figured mum found a way to spend part of our holiday with us. They were obviously no where near as good as hers but still, was really nice. Afterwards we found this awesome homemade cupcake shop so bought something yummy to eat for the next day and then grabbed the bus home to bed. Such an amazing first day!! ...
