... of turtles. They were so tragically slow that several big fish popped in and snatched away all the food-- right in front of the turtles' beaks! We had to literally drop the food to land/float RIGHT in front of the turtles' beaks! Otherwise, the turtles would sloooowly float around to try to get closer to the food, at which time a big, slimy fish would come and snatch it away! But I don't think the turtles in that lake are in danger by any means.  ...

... another kind of people, not like social pariahs as they are in places like Korea! My mom and I had lunch at a place called Three Li'l Pigs BBQ. A cash only joint. Other places around this area... Fat Daddy's Restaurant... Hot's Barber Shop... yeah, SO COUNTRY!! But you can't hate it! We had baby back ribs and sliced pork loins with cole slaw, toast, and beans. The place was PACKED! ... bends in the road taken as darkness cleared the treetops. The only light throughout the hills were the store signs announcing the large fireworks wholesale shops. The red incandescent bulbs lit up the road for miles, but were often a surprise upon approaching a dark curve and gliding around to be suddenly hit with the bright advertisements.

... I was completely inconvenienced in my plushy little world. It required me to sleep more. Darn! The monitor says it is minus 67 degrees outside the airplane. Guess I'll not open the window.
