... the blow-up bed was malfunctioning so they were both sleeping on the couch! What a way to spend the night before their 50the Wedding Anniversary!!!
Leisurely breakfasts were enjoyed with no great hurry to head out into the drizzly day but eventually we motivated ourselves and walked into the city along the canal - ending up at the Galleries of Justice Museum. Over to Lauren to tell you all about it....

We then get to go in for breakfast :D
Between milkings we have various jobs such as, drenching, putting up fences, scrapping up the yards, cleaning the cubicles, tagging and injecting calves, fixing cows feet, dehorning calves and other stuff we cant remember. Lunch is at 12.30 so we can get the cows in at 1.30. Did we mention there are no motorbikes here! So we have to walk to their paddock ...
... and I can honestly say I am very ready for some holidays.
On the Friday, we also had the privilege of being staff on the year 2 excursion to London. Yes, London!! They were learning about the Monument dedicated to the Great Fire of London, which we got to climb and see some impressive views of London! We then went and had lunch by the Tower of London, before returning to Peterborough.
But my day did not stop there!! ...

My eldest, Alex, was back from Australia for a few weeks so this was a chance to take him and his brother James to see a few exciting things in Catalunya. I picked them up after work in Shrewsbury and we drove to Nottingham where we had an hotel for the night before an early flight the following day.
