We also checked out what is supposedly one of the most famous view of St Peter's - through a keyhole at a church on the outskirts of town. The view was good - but far too sunny for a good photo. I have uploaded an image of what it looks like in good light - very beautiful!

... walked back to the hotel, it was after 11pm. Dean went to sleep and I stayed up to finish up the posts for the first three nights. I wanted to take advantage of the beautiful view outside our window, so I propped myself up with 2 pillows and began to type, recalling our travels for the past few days. I then decided I needed some light and a cool breeze, so I opened the window and turned on my bedside wall lamp. After about ...

... in Siena, and of higher quality, probably because they, too, are regional. We guess that the meal that we cooked in our apartment in Il Refugio would cost 20-30% more at home. Prices of other grocery items vary, but seem to be a little higher than at home. Selection is not as plentiful as it is at home, but then, how many different brands of laundry soaps, plastic wraps and paper towels does one ...
