... of one way hairpin turns and we were glad to have a GPS for this drive as if we had not we would still be driving around! We finally found a car parking station, not the one we were heading for but another nearby. This turned out well as it was near the spotting stadium and very recognisable on the maps. Today we travelled by train to the city of Arezzo, its centre is very old, but the town is sprawling outwards with growth and it is reasonably modern and young. We were off to the Antiques Fair, and that was held in the oldest part of Arezzo, the Grande Piazza.

We ambled around the different stalls and I have to admit I was looking for a sneaky bargain to ferret away and bring home, but alas, on the whole it was people's second hand tat.. ...

... looked like a small hotel room and we had private bathrooms which was nice. The first night we stopped for some pizza then took a cab to meet up with our friends from Villanova who are doing a program at John Cabot University in Rome. They have about 34 kids and alot of guys which was nice! We met them at their apartment which has very high security - we had to sign in and out every time and give them our IDs- alot different then back ...

... cooking unit on. Then the butter we had intended to use to fry the eggs was not butter but some disgusting looking and smelling substance. Andrew ran to reception twice, first for instructions and second for butter, all while the time was getting closer to check out. You will be glad to know we did manage to get our sandwiches in the end.

Overall, we all really liked Siena and wouldn't have minded a bit longer- really lovely place.
