san ramon, Costa Rica gccostarica...
Alajuela, Province of Alajuela, Costa Rica sara-linda... nico on his shoulders. So anyway that explains my neck soreness, not from the bus ride. Arrived in the mountain town of Santa Elena and Monte Verde around 5:30 last night, at the butterfly garden there was only a note saying "We'll be back". So now I'm a working boy again, gave my first tour today, which is impressive since I only observed one before hand. Well apparently the canadians are alright tippers too, so I got over my fears and now am cool with picking up ...
Santa Elena, Costa Rica bassmanmsDro med lokalbuss fra San Jose til Monteverde. Turen tok 5 timer, hvorav de siste to timene i et spektakulaert landskap paa en like spekatakluaert daarlig vei.
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica oagjerms... cut the tree and move it so we could pass. We got into Monteverde at about 6pm and we had to go to dinner in our rain gear because the rain was so heavy! We went to a nice restaurant for dinner where I had soup and a chocolate cake for dessert, which was delicious! After dinner we went back to the hotel and to bed.
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica jensadventures... the lake. Our hostel is great, the owner David is really helpful and we finally got a private room with en suite for $24, so it was quite reasonable and that includes a great breakfast, free Internet (which is impossible to get on!) and free tea and coffee all day. We decided what activities we wanted to do, which was difficult as there is so much to do here, but everything costs a bomb. We finally agreed ...
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica littleshivy... was extremely manic, fast talking, loads of fun and from Los Angeles. Contessa was absolutely hilarious and had ridiculous amounts of energy. Exhausting to be around though. We spent the night chatting with her and a big gentle giant of a man from The United States, he was a rough looking bikie that looked like he would eat children for dinner but was actually a soft, vegetarian book reader with a nice heart and even offered to cook us dinner.
Monteverde, Costa Rica inoursuitcase... beside where the man went. I had my small backpack with me and held my breath as I went in. At least there was a door. I just thought to myself how lucky I was that this was even here and tried to take it all in as an interesting exp. Hence...my details about it. Wait until I get to India that is when the bathroom stories will be epic. ha. I waltzed back to the baggage opening process and was so happy about my success finding the bathroom that I got stood in front of the ...
Alajuela, Costa Rica mlillie... the end of one line to be hurriedly fasten onto a rappelling line where the guides let you hurtle toward earth before giving you a gigantic wedgy! So for the first split second you are feeling a mixture of terror and bravery (looking as you do like a SAS soldier jumping out of a helicopter) as you plummet earthwards - in the next moment you are grunting in pain (at least the guys were) as you stop very suddenly - much like a friend playing a cruel trick on you at rock ...
