... just as it opened its doors, I was grateful for the warm again as this morning it was 0deg and felt like it too. It was €9 entrance fee so not too expensive, it was an ok museum but nothing special, not very interactive and probably good for school visits etc but at least I could say I had been. I only spent about 90 mins there, it was enough. When I left the museum it was snowing quite hard, I set off to my next destination, thai was an area the reception ...

Back at the hotel and got the key for the room I will be staying in for three nights and very comfortable it is too, the bed seems to be as wide as it is long, enormous for one person. I have had a coffee and a shower and watched the BBC world news for an hour and now time for sleep. A good first day for ...

... tour. Our tour guide was Adrian, originally from Barcelona, who moved to Hamburg to study English at university. He was a really excellent guide and the tour was awesome! Starting at the Rathaus we got a brief history of Hamburg. I didn't know that it is a city state, so it has its own Parliament as well! The Rathaus was a really beautiful building with a big square out the front. Apparently the square used to be even bigger, but Hitler built buildings around it to make it smaller ...
