A rude awakening

We had gone to bed quite late for us recently and had been shattered. At about 2am I was woken by a strange sound. I got up to find Paul looking about around the room, when I said 'what's going on?" he opened the bathroom door and got sprayed by water, he said "I think we've got a leak" I replied "yea, you think!!"

Water had filled the bathroom and was now overflowing into the room! ...

... I continued to my usual spot on the beach to read.

Throughout the afternoon the sky looked threatening and every so often there would be some thunder and heavy spots of rain. At four o’clock I decided it might be wise to head home. Nadine and Veronica suggested introducing a game where the children were divided into two teams and a volunteer from each team in turn mimed one of the sports for the rest of the class to name and the first team to get it right earned a point. After some initial shyness they got the hang of it and it went well.
