... this from a gal who has seen a lot of basilicas in my travels. Then it was off to my appointment with Scrovegni. I got lost. Three times. Finally found it. As mentioned the frescoes were amazing. ... the blessings on this trip kept flowing. I had explained the situation to the kayak company about why I couldn't go. When we arrived the owner of the company said Dan could go by himself and if I wanted to come then we could go on a shorter route and not through the main Grand Canal. Once we had finished our visit, we made our way back to San Marco via another 1.25hr water bus, then another 10min walk to catch the water bus back to the Cruise Terminal. sweet but on a highway near absolutely nothing.

Today was just a relaxing day. Nothing
to do but stay in the hotel, work out a bit and catch up on our
planning. Pool was closed as it was apparently too cold! Had an OK
lunch, partly subsidised by easyJet. Got shuttled out to the airport
and got into Paris around midnight – just too late to catch the
train!!! So we had to get a taxi. Apartment was nice ...
