... We don’t know whether to sit in the van or sit outside. Tomorrow we are climbing the mountain…….

    Sunday 21st June

The sun is shining and the sky is blue. The tops of the mountains are clear from cloud, a perfect day. It took us just over three hours to climb to the Passo di Sant’Antonio. It was tough going but we had excellent views as far as Lake Garda in the south. At the pass, we had views of the ski ...

But after some good old Aussie charm and a lot ...

Today's tour was to Bolzano, close to the Austrian border. We arrived there late in the morning, stopping for a quick espresso at a truck stop - it's hard to get used to doing things the Italian Way when you have to pay for what you want first, then go and join the queue to get served! So simply getting a coffee takes quite a while, especially when the Italians are prone to barging in front of anyone!
    Bolzano is nestled in ...

... his English, Stephan is here to climb the highest peak, and explains how easy it will be. After a couple of bottles of red wine we think we could do it too!

A good nights sleep for some, the rooms have walls that help clarify every sound from the next room. I stay on ear watch in case Adam gets too carried away with his night song. Breakfast is a buffet and the other guests seem to scowl as we walk in. And we were on our ...
