A beautiful sunny day for our bike ride which took us round city and to the beach seeing some interesting sites along the way. The afternoon was spent wandering little alleyways and stopping at the market stalls that dot the city. Tried to get in to the Gaudi museum to see his artworks but told it was full and not open again until after we have left Barcelona ( disappointing)

As usual, the monsters were arrayed around the splendid entrance hall of the city hall and amongst the many familiar creatures we soon found Sirius and also another that we hadn't seen previously, Loki.
From the Ajuntament we walked down towards the harbour area where the giants where having a bit of a get together in the Museu Maritim also known as the Drassanes. We entered the museum through a door that we hadn't ...
The drive from Zaragoza, was rather pleasant and not that long, about 280 Kms. we made in about three hours. Getting into the city and hotel was a breese compared to Zaragoza, , the freeway lead us int Calle Diagonal we folloewd it to Passeig de Gracia left turn and there was our hoyel. Casa Fuster is a stately hotel, maybe a bit too formal, but certainly conveniently located in the center of the high scale ...
... including a bottle of wine for only ten Euros each! Salad, seafood paella and dessert! The boys spent loads of time at the beach playing in the sand! I know they had a great time getting away from us and what better way to do it then being with their grandpa! Keep an eye on the boys' blogs for more about their week in Sitges!
... Picasso Museum, but found out that we coul only use our Barcelona Card for Free entry at 5pm.
So we headed of to the Chocolate Museum where we were given a free block of chocolate (much to Melitta's joy). It was very interesting to see the history of chocolate making and that it was used as currency in the early days for some civilisations.
