Side note: the travel guide complemented me in front of everyone for my beautiful ...

... are two impressive buildings, built by Prince Archbishop Wolf Dietrich (1587-1612) who wanted to make Salzburg the "Rome of the North". He created a city that was a series of interconnecting squares and quiet streets. For centuries, Salzburg leaders wore two hats: as religious leader and secular head of state. Salzburg was predominately Catholic and there was a policy of zero tolerance for Protestants.

Dietrich was a good Catholic and a pragmatist and since most of the ...

... from SNL). So inappropriate...Anyway, the cemetery was full of flowers and beautiful but the gated porticos looked much smaller than the ones in the movie. We continued our walk and after we had walked around the market with the stands of sausage and had put in our order, it started to rain. It rained steadily for a while but we were by then enjoying our sausages. =) It only rained for a little while and we were able to continue on with our walking tour. ...
