Gansevoort South Miami Beach

So after we left The Keys we had to spend another wonderful day in the Florida heat driving in the van. Making our way to Fort Lauderdale, so that way we we're closer when it came time to taking Michelle back to the airport. Little did we know that it was a 3 day weekend, so when it came time to finding a hotel we struck out quite a few times... That's why we ended up at a Days ...

Cruised into Ft Lauderdale early Sat morning. From here we transfered to the airport for our flight back home to San Francisco. We got to the Airport around 10 am and our flight didn't leave till 4 pm. Arrived to San Fanncisco around 9 pm. Loong day but happy to be home.

Or was it??

Snitch flew down & met me at our hotel, which is where we have stayed for 3 days.... the decisions we had to make:

When to go down to the pool
Which bed to sleep on
When to turn over
When to go for a swim
When to have a cocktail...

It has taken some serious thought!! Just in case you can't picture it I've added some of my own!

We were a bit disappointed with the Sofitel. It was basically a typical airport hotel, which did nothing to calm my nerves about flying. Our room overlooked the runway and there were low planes going over the whole time. We felt a bit claustrophobic as we were in the middle of nowhere and couldn't really walk to any shops or amenities.

I got a day off last month(for good behaviour, haha!) and my girlfriends from college invited me to a beach barbecue party overnight along the coast of Miami Beach. They organized the event to promote tourism in Miami especially among near city and states. It will be held near a friends beach house and it will be a fun night of relaxing, music and cool drinks. ... take a picture of what she believes to be the Hogan House. There was a for sale sign out front, but it seemed awfully small to me. (Turns out it is not the Hogan House, but awfully close). Continued on to Coral Gables, very nice houses and cool area. We then went to Vizcaya Gardens. ... shortly but we will board anyways. After we all get seated we see the pilot finally come onboard and we think we are off to Tampa. Not so...twenty minutes and even more late the pilot comes on the intercom and tells us the steering is broken and they are fixing it right now. The flight ends with all the passengers being told that this flight is 1 hour and 5 minutes but we will get no drinks nor snacks. Next time I am flying non-stop and avoiding Miami International from now on.

... thongs and then it happened, almost all at once. The tops came off left and right. Our jaws dropped. We were speechless. The only thing that came to my mind was the thong song. So, after chilling at the beach and taking in the scenery, we walked around and relaxed for the remainder of the afternoon. We are now in search of a nearby campground to shower, eat, and change for tonight. If we can't find a campground, then we are going down to Key West.
